On walking to a stadium full of athletics funs, majority of the are curious of the short races that have for many years been everyone’s favorite. These are the most hyped moments of the athleticism all over globally.
The races associated with short track races include 100 meters, 200 meters and 400 meters. With these races comes a host of other races that are associated with these 3 races. These include 100 meters hurdles, 200 meters hurdles and 400 meters hurdles.
400 meters associated races;
There are other races that 400 meters brings on board. They include:
• 400 meters hurdles
• 400 meters by 4. Each team has four contestants each running 400 meters.
• 4 by 400 meters. Here each participant runs a 100 meter portion of the 400 meters.
With comparison to other races, the short distance races attract so many funs and the same are known to be the shortest races in terms of the distance covered by the participants. However short lived they are the town talk mostly is about the same short races.
The race historically has been dominated by the United States 🇺🇸. However in the recent past other mushrooming nations have emerged to challenge the US. They include Jamaica 🇯🇲, Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹, Canada 🇨🇦, Namibia 🇳🇦, United Kingdom 🇬🇧 and a host of few other nations.
These nations in as much as talents are a factor in their success, the same have heavily invested in training of young athletes over time to emerge the greatest challengers of US.
Jamaica’s rise to fame;
Of the countries mentioned above Jamaica has given the US a run for their money. This as well cuts across both in the male and female disciplines.
The traditional US men and women winning races today they’re being taken over by the South American sprinters. Yes they have the talent but too they are investing a lot into training and tapping into young talents.
