The Premier League Is Back

After taking a weekend off for international fixtures including friendlies and the 2018 World Cup  qualifiers, the most exciting league in the world is back today. The English Premier League returns today, Saturday September 9th 2017 with 7 exciting fixtures lined up as well as two for tomorrow as well as a Monday Night fixture.

Early Kick-Off:

Surprisingly, Manchester City vs Liverpool is the opening fixture that will kick off at 1230 hrs local time. This is one of the hottest fixtures in the calendar as both teams are title contenders. Moreover, Man City are fourth on the League table and Liverpool is up at the second position. Whichever team leaves the Etihad Stadium with a win, will not only go into the next fixture(s) with their head up high, but also will take a step closer to topping the league. Both teams have 7 points after 3 games.

Arsenal take on Bournemouth, Brighton take on West Bromwich Albion and Everton battle Tottenham Hotspur.

Southampton will host Watford whereas the defending champions, Chelsea, will host the former champions, Leicester City. In the last game of the day, Stoke City will invite the league leaders, Manchester United at the Britannia Stadium.

Sunday:

The two games on Sunday will see Burnley and Swansea both play host to Crystal Palace and Newcastle United respectively.

Monday Night Football:

West Ham United will invite Huddersfield to the London Stadium on  Monday night.

European Competition:

These fixtures come right before the European Champions League and the Europa League commence this coming week.
