MAJOR PREMIER LEAGUE TRANSFERS 2017-18

As transfer window closed on Thursday August 31st 2017, some Premier League clubs invested heavily on signing new player where it is estimated that £1.4bn was used. We highlight some of the key signing made.

Alvaro Morata moved from Real Madrid  to Chelsea for £58 million.  He started his career by appearing in a Community Shield penalty shootout where Chelsea lost to Arsenal and he has scored in his two league home matches.Morata, a 24-year-old Spain striker was signed despite Diego Costa having been frozen out by manager Antonio Conte.

Romelu Lukaku moved from Everton to Manchester United for £75 million. Lukaku has been at Everton for four prolific seasons. It is assumed he was signed to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is suffering from a back injury. Lukaku has so far netted four goals in his four appearances.

Alexandre Lacazette moved from Lyon (FRA) to Arsenal at £52.6 million after Court of Arbitration for Sport upheld transfer ban against Atletico Madrid Lacazette scored in less than two minutes during their league debut against Leicester City.

Keita-Liverpool

Naby Keita a Guinea midfielder moved from RB Leipzig (GER) to Liverpool at £48 million who expected to appear in next year.

Tiemoue Bakayoko, a France midfielder moved from Monaco (FRA) to Chelsea at £40 million,He is expected to provide a redoubtable physical presence alongside the buzzing N’Golo Kante.

Nemanja Matic made his move of the season from Chelsea to Manchester United at £40 million to linkup with his former coach Mourinho who brought him back to chelsea from Benfica in 2014.

Benjamin Mendy is another player who moved from Monaco  to Manchester City at £52 million.

Kyle Walker made a move from Tottenham Hotspur to Manchester City at £50 million after Dani Alves joined Paris Saint-Germain. Bernardo Silva moved from Monaco (FRA) to Manchester City at £43 million
