SportPesa Premier League action returns this weekend with tricky matches to be played for the super cup where Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards who settled for a one-all draw in Nairobi Derby two weeks ago will play against Nzoia Sugar and Zoo Kericho respectively.
SPL leaders Gor Mahia will be aiming at excerelating their lead in the table while leopards will be recovering when they visit Zoo Kericho in Kericho. GOR has so far gannered six points.
Gor has been on trail of winning their six-match which was halted by their rivals Leopards at Nyayo Stadium last month. The team has expressed theoir hopes of winning as they meet Nzoia Sugar atMoi Stadium in Kisumu.
Gor captain Musa , who scored an own goal in their 1-1 against Leopards, told Nation Sport yesterday that they are ready to roar again in today’s match and keep their march towards the title on.
“That was not the performance we wanted. None of us was proud of the result but the good thing is that there are still many more games remaining. Starting tomorrow (today) we shall do our best to win games and make our supporters happy,” Mohammed said.
Musa Mohammed will lead Gor alongside Harun Shakava, Karim Nizigiyimana and Godfrey Walusimbi as they toil for the three crucial points.
George “Blackberry” Odhiambo will partner the Rwandan duo of Meddie Kagere and Jacques Tuyisenge in attack.
However, Nzoia Sugar coach Bernard Mwalala remains confident that the team that had lost 1-0 to Gor can overturn the ressult and deliver good returns in Kisumu.
